How Are Sciton BBL Treatments Performed?
After creating an appropriate treatment plan, the settings of the Forever Young BBL and Moxi devices will be adjusted to fit your unique needs. Before beginning the Forever Young BBL procedure, your eyes will be covered to protect them from the lasers. Your doctor or aesthetician will gently pass the Forever Young laser over your skin while concentrating on the treatment locations. Before administering the Moxi platform, your skin will be numbed, followed by a short treatment. The time needed for your procedure will vary depending on the issues being treated during Forever Young with Moxi treatment. BBL procedures can typically be finished in about an hour. Is Sciton BBL safe for all skin tones?
Since the energy wavelengths in a BBL treatment can be adjusted for your unique needs, BBL is safe and effective on all skin tones and types. To get your best results, we suggest you avoid ultraviolet (UV) light exposure (both tanning beds and natural sunlight) for at least 10 – 14 days before your treatment. Tanned skin has an increased amount of pigment (melanin), which may absorb the BBL energy and impact your outcome. The treated areas will be especially sensitive to UV light, so you should continue to limit your sun exposure and not use tanning beds while you are getting BBL and for at least two weeks following your last treatment.
