The Plastics Clinic offers microneedling, a treatment that punctures tiny holes in the skin on your face, neck, or chest to stimulate skin restoration. As an extra benefit, your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may be administered to the same region to further help tissue heal and allow the skin to begin growing new cells. Both of these procedures together can decrease the appearance of wrinkles, scars, dark spots, and large pores, along with other skin problems. Your skin can be greatly improved and appear smoother and more even without damaging the epidermis. If you'd like to learn more on microneedling with PRP, schedule a one-on-one consultation with our team in South Jordan, UT.

Following your procedure, you may encounter some ordinary effects, such as bruising, swelling, and redness. We recommend that patients do not wear makeup, cleanse with abrasive skin cleansers, or submerge in pools for approximately three days following the session. Activities such as these could expose the skin to harsh bacteria and chemicals, which may lead to negative reactions. You should also minimize sun exposure or use protective measures when going outdoors. Full results are typically seen within several weeks as the skin works to repair and heal itself.

Best surgeon! Best staff! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

First thing I want to share is if your end goal is to have a tummy tuck- don’t touch your body until that time! Long story short, prior to seeing Dr. Garlick I had laser liposuction aka smart lipo. I followed all of the after care but still had severe scar tissue which made my tummy tuck feasible but different. I consulted with 4 other plastic surgeons before seeing Dr. Garlick and I always felt like they were telling my what I wanted to hear vs being honest, up front and giving me realistic expectations. I left all 4 feeling kind of off- I knew Dr. Garlick’s books were filling up but I had a tug to call to get one more consult ( 5 should be enough, right?) in the mean time I had actually paid (refundable fortunately) and scheduled a surgery date with another surgeon. My plan was if I heard the same the thing I would continue with this other surgeon. Call it divine intervention or luck I got a call that Dr. G had a consult cancellation- it was almost 3 months prior to my scheduled consult. The consult was exactly what I was looking for, compassionate, inquisitive, understanding and realistic. I am a mom of two, I like(d) my body I just wanted to enhance it. He understood that and also explained what was going to need to happen in a way that made sense. He also didn’t make me feel bad or dumb for having my prior procedure (you don’t know what you don’t know), that was huge for me. I was able to snag one of his last available dates for the year, I’m writing this almost a week post op and when I didn’t think it couldn’t get better it really did, one my nurses Hope, she was so straightforward and funny. I loved her dryness, honesty, and let’s get this done attitude. Dr. Garlick’s bedside manner is like none I have ever experienced. Not only is he personable, everything we talked about in my consult is exactly the same thing we went over before I headed into the OR- he never wavered. He talked my husband through aftercare gave dinner spot recommendations. He called to check on both of us after my surgery and has answered my text messages throughout this first week of recovery, which has been huge because I live out of state. He has treated me like I am his only patient this week-he embodies the saying “They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”Plastic surgery is personal, it’s emotional and can be exhausting, I am thankful that I was able to have this experience with Dr. Garlick and his team and I’m looking forward to seeing the results.

I’m so glad I did my research and went with Dr. Garlick for my breast lift & augmentation. My results were far better than I could have ever imagined. I received excellent symmetry, a healthy recovery and zero complications. Dr. Garlick has a great bedside manner and was always a quick call or message away to answer all my questions no matter the time. If you value your results and want the very best I highly recommend getting on his consultation list. He’s most definitely worth the wait!

I came to Dr. Garlick for a mommy makeover. (Breast aug, tummy tuck and lipo in legs and flanks). On my consult, I had my times wrong and arrived 30 mins late. Everyone was so kind and I still got to see him that day. He has been amazing at answering all my questions and my results are simply amazing. I would definitely recommend this doctor.

About Us
How effective are microneedling with PRP treatments?

Microneedling with PRP treatment results may not be visible immediately, but the growth factors from the platelet-rich plasma serum will help to boost the growth of healthier, stronger skin. To get your best results, you should get several treatments initially and then have maintenance sessions. Your aesthetician will go over realistic expectations during your initial consultation so you are happy with your results.

How many microneedling with PRP treatments should I get?

To begin, you may prefer to schedule a few treatments scheduled every 2 – 3 weeks. Based on your skin's initial condition and goals, your aesthetician will compose a treatment plan to rejuvenate the health of your skin. Between microneedling with PRP treatments, you can schedule a facial or other skin treatment to nourish the new growth and remove dead skin cells.

How often should I get microneedling with PRP treatments?

Following the initial series of treatments, you may want to schedule maintenance sessions at least 2 – 4 times a year. How often you need treatments will vary based on the health of your skin and your goals, so we will help develop your long-term treatment plan. Your technician will be able to make recommendations on how frequently you should schedule treatments to keep your complexion strong, radiant, and healthy.
